Meet the Dentists

Get to Know the Team

Dentistry for Kids dentists are members of the American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. Additionally, nearly all of the DFK Dentists are either Board Certified or Board Qualified. 

Dr. Joffre Martin

Dr. Joff lived in Las Vegas for 4 years while training as an orthodontist and completing his MBA. he and his wife, Dr. Kat (a dentist who works with Dentistry For Kids) met as classmates at Tufts University in Medford, MA. They moved to the Pittsburgh area in 2015. Shortly after they settled in Pittsburgh, Dr. Joff started Bridge City Braces. He works as an orthodontic partner with Dentistry For Kids at the North Hills and Cranberry Twp office locations. 

Dr. Joff and Dr. Kat are parents to two children. 

 

Dr. Phil Dahar

Dr. Phil Dahar is an orthodontist working with Dentistry For Kids. He attended the University of Pittsburgh on a football scholarship (where he was the 1965 captain of the Pitt Football Team). In 1969, he graduated and pursued his Doctorate in Dental Medicine. In 1971, he went on to specialize in orthodontics, receiving his Orthodontic Masters of Science in Dentistry degree in 1974.

For the past 40 years, he has had the privilege of practicing orthodontics and has experienced how a beautiful fmile and the correct bite can completely change a person’s pride and confidence. He enjoyed continuing his education and staying current with leading-edge technology and techniques. Dr. Dahar is a member of numerous professional affiliations including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Western Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontics, Great Lakes Association of Orthodontics and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. 

Dr. Jack Louie

Dr. Jack Louie grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and earned his undergraduate degree from Boston University. He returned home to receive his dental degree at University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry. He then completed a GPR residency at a VA Hospital and worked in general dentistry before realizing his true calling is for the pediatric population. He  continued his training at NYU Langone pediatric residency in Western Massachusetts where he gained experience in children’s growth and development, sedation techniques, and care for the special needs population. He is currently board eligible and is studying to become board certified in the next year. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring the city of Pittsburgh.
